Mr. Calvin D. Harbaugh grew up in Germany and Korea as a member of a long-standing military family. Directly after high school, Mr. Harbaugh followed the family tradition by joining the air force where he began his career as a Certified Technology Specialist (CTS). He obtained a BA in Computer Science in 1987 from West Virginia University while still enlisted.
From 1984 to 1992, Mr. Harbaugh was recognized as a Sergeant with outstanding performance and dedication from the 2046th Communications Group. Calvin became an expert in video conferencing-communication and classified conferencing systems for the government. While stationed at Wright Patterson Air force Base, he picked up an Information Systems degree in 1990. His specialty was communication security.
Mr. Harbaugh began his secular career with Advanced Acoustical Concepts (AAC) in 1992 where he met Bill Othick and Lysanne Burke. He started there as an installation technician and soon became the Senior Design Engineer. Calvin had advanced to Director of Engineering just before ACC was sold to WireOne in 2001. Shortly after the acquisition, Calvin joined Lysanne Burke and Bill Othick as they built BOI Solutions from the ground floor.
Currently, Mr. Harbaugh serves as Director of Government Sales for BOI Solutions. This involves directing the technical team responsible for designing, implementing and managing many aspects of communications including secure and unsecured, data, voice and video networks. He is also responsible for developing and maintaining government contracts. His general responsibilities include the following:
